Evenings, in a softer light
Table lamps for the hours after sunset: light for dinner, for a book, and for the last quiet hour of the day.
Light that settles a room
Each Vesper lamp pairs a simple form in stone, glass, wood or metal with warm, even light. Made to be used every evening and looked at all day.
Glow that never glares
On the Orb, opal glass spreads the light evenly, with no bright spot, so the lamp glows rather than shines.
Touch is the only switch
The Orb has a knurled dial on its foot to switch it on and dim it, easy to find with the lights already low.
Materials that age well
A turned aluminium stem, a heavy graphite base and glass you clean with a dry cloth. Made to look better with use, not older.

08:00
Morning
A soft glow by the breakfast table while the coffee is still hot and the room wakes up slowly.
13:00
Daylight
With the sun doing the work, the lamp rests as an object: opal glass on walnut in the middle of the table.
19:30
Dusk
As the window turns blue, the glass warms up and the table becomes the brightest place in the room.
23:00
Night
Down to a quiet amber glow by the bed for the last hour before sleep.
Warmer light after dark
Light changes how a room feels. In the evening, low and warm light from a table lamp feels calmer than bright light from the ceiling.

The room feels softer straight away: fewer hard shadows, warmer faces, a quieter corner to sit in.
Switching on the table lamp instead of the ceiling light becomes a small habit, and evenings start to have a shape.
Warm light on the table becomes a cue in itself: you know the day is over long before you look at the time.
Questions
Good to know before you choose
Choosing, using and caring for your lamp, and how ordering works.
Start with where it will stand and what it should do. For reading or work, choose a lamp that sends its light down onto the table, like Cone, Bend or Sage. For a soft glow that fills the room, choose a diffused form: the opal glass of Pebble or Cradle, or the travertine Arch. Each lamp has its own page with its materials and a closer look at its shape.
It depends on the model. If you are not sure how a lamp is switched or whether it can be dimmed, write to us before you order and we will tell you.
Write to us with the lamp you have in mind and we will send you its technical details: the light source, its power and its colour temperature.
Switch the lamp off and unplug it before cleaning. Dust glass and metal with a soft, dry cloth. Stone and wood only need a slightly damp cloth; avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners.

Yes. You can return an unused lamp in its original packaging. How it works is explained in our Terms of sale.
Our mission
We design lamps for ordinary evenings: simple forms in stone, glass, wood and metal that look as good in daylight as they do after dark, and give a warm, even light that lets the day wind down.
